My Hebrew name is Michal. Some people find the “cchhhh” sound hard to say and if that’s you right now, feel free to call me Michele, as that is my English/American name. I’m comfortable with whatever you prefer.
I have been an educator for over a decade and love the relationships that I build with people through learning together
There are many reasons why people decide to start learning Hebrew.
Here are some reasons why people started learning Hebrew with me:
My church is going to Israel on a trip in a year from now and I want to understand the language as I travel the country.
My grandson is having a bar mitzvah in 6 months and when I go to synagogue to hear him read from the Bible I want to be familiar with the sounds and be able to follow along in the prayer book.
I want to come closer to my heritage even though I am Jewish but not religious.
I am a convert and want to learn Hebrew to be able to acclimate more to the culture.
I did not grow up religious and became religious later on in my life. My children now go to Hebrew schools and as early as Kindergarten I am unable to help them with their Hebrew / Judaic Studies homework. I want to be able to help them, even if I am learning alongside them!
I am not Jewish but I have an incredibly strong connection to the Jewish people and want to connect by learning the language.
I want to be able to pray in Hebrew.
I want to be able to speak to my extended family in modern Hebrew.
I want to learn a new language to keep my mind sharp.
It is my absolute pleasure and honor to guide people who want to learn Hebrew on their path.

Some Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely NOT! While I love teaching adults, if there are younger people in your life that you would like Hebrew classes and/or tutoring for, I would be thrilled to teach them as well! Just contact us and let us know specifically what you are wanting.
For private sessions this is not a concern. In session one we will go through a basic assessment and I will know precisely where to start from with you. As they are private sessions, it’s all about you and meeting you where you are at, so no need to worry here.
For group classes: If you are wondering which level class to sign up for, you’re right in that participants do need to be on a similar level for everyone to benefit. An initial one-on-one assessment needs to be completed before you can register for a class. This is a full 45-60 minutes one-on-one online session with Michele where we will go over fundamentals and place you accordingly. Part of the registration process for the group classes is a one-time non-refundable fee of $150 which will cover the cost of the initial assessment/consultation as well as all onboarding details.
Class sizes are a minimum of 5 people but will not exceed 15 people.
As a class participant, you will have the ability to message us anytime you like. You can ask questions and send pictures of your work. We are available during regular work days and during regular business hours in PST and will be happy to answer any specific questions and look at the pictures of your work.
